Youth Summit 2026
24 August 2026, the Danish Parliament
What should Denmark advocate for when Danish politicians participate in the 81st UN General Assembly in New York? On the 24th of August, young people from more than 50 Danish youth organisations, youth movements, youth communities, and other groups gathered at the Youth Summit 2026 at Christiansborg to share their ideas on what Denmark should advocate for at the UN. Together, they formulated 15 specific recommendations for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Danish UN delegation, and Danish decision-makers.
The recommendations cover a wide range of topics, from reforming the UN Security Council and climate action to regulating AI, human rights, and improving opportunities for young people to participate in democracy. The event was organised in close collaboration with Planbørnefonden.
